The Chinese National Diving Championships
The Chinese National Diving Championships will start this Sunday at the SPD Bank Oriental Sports Center. Olympic champion Quan Hongchan and two-time world champion Chen Yuxi will participate in the competition.

Mermaid shows
Male mermaids at the Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park have taken visitors by surprise. The show, featuring six male mermaids, will run through April 9, with free park admission on Saturdays for those in costumes.
The seasonal events also include underwater shutterbug competitions and female mermaid performances. An audiovisual mermaid concert will be held on Match 25. Visitors will be invited to join the mermaid parades.

Spiritual Journey
"Spiritual Journey" is Joel Mesler's first solo museum exhibition in Asia.
Encompassing around 50 paintings, the presentation illuminates Mesler's signature style characterized by bold colors, stylized patterns, bright figuration and unique calligraphic scripts.
As the title suggests, the exhibition reveals aspects of Mesler's personal and artistic growth, allowing viewers to evolve alongside the artist as they travel through the exhibition space.

Manas
"Manas" is young artist Zhang Ji's first solo museum exhibition and it has four chapters. The exhibition features about 30 works on canvas and 200 on paper, mirroring a multitude of possibilities for symbiosis in painting that the artist has explored in the past two years.

Shirazeh Houshiary: Rhizome
The first major museum exhibition of Iranian-British artist Shirazeh Houshiary in China is currently underway at Shanghai's Long Museum West Bund.
The first work that greets visitors is "Breath," a four-channel video. The work depicting hand-drawn animations represents the inhalations and exhalations of vocalists chanting multi-denominational prayers.

'Drago Cavallo'
A crowd of adorable mythical creatures mixed with dragons and horses have arrived in Shanghai, jazzing up the city's waterfront along the Huangpu River.
"Drago Cavallo," a "guardian angel" featuring a dragon's head and a horse's body, was created by acclaimed artist Simon Ma for children with autism and other mental disabilities, spreading a message of love and inclusiveness.

'We borrow dreams from others like debt'
There is a mysterious place called Madeln Museum on Chongming Island. All the artworks here "grow" with nature in the natural setting instead of being placed in white boxes.
Madeln Museum in Luhua Town consists of eight farmhouses near the Huangpu River. The first thematic display here is titled, "We borrow dreams from others like debt." Artworks by 13 artists from various media interact and "grow" with each other.
